Not Up for Debate…

If there was one thing that I wish each of us could fully grasp is that our value is not up for debate.

I could choose to delve into the varying issues within our society that reveal how much people do not feel valued and do not understand how priceless they are. Instead, the choices have become to argue, debate, and pit others against an ideology that ends up devaluing our very being. This is nothing new. If you were to study history from the beginning to now, you would see this common thread throughout humanity.

While I walk others through seasons of suffering, the lie that ends up surfacing comes back to that individual’s identity and the lack of purpose. This lack of purpose stems from believing a falsehood.

Some of us punish ourselves because we believe we are to blame for the pain and heartache we have to walk through. Other times we believe what others have told us so strongly that we are willing to defend a lie, prove it is true, and then wonder why our problems continue to increase. As we defend a lie, our suffering grows as well as the lie itself. This breeds a cycle that is toxic, and burdensome. Heartache flourishes.

Most of us claim that we want to be seen, heard, valued, and known. I do not know one single person who does not long to be valued. But the question remains, where do we get our value?

It can only come from the Truth. If we do not know the Truth then every thought, pattern, and behavior will fuel our suffering rather than help us walk victorious through it. It will not matter what type of medicine you take, the therapies you do, or the actions that you try. If you do not know the Truth, suffering will grow.

Today, I pray that you will come to understand, recognize, accept, and come to boldly live life knowing the Truth.

Because…

The truth is that your value is not up for debate.

Jesus settled this battle by His blood, death, and resurrection. He has given you the victory in advance.
